Use
You can use parameters to control performance index or subrequirement filters. You can assign parameters to filters in Customizing for Campus Management.
You can also use parameters to evaluate conditions. You can assign parameters to conditions in Customizing for Campus Management.
You can either define the parameters you want to use in a performance index in Customizing, or you can have the application transfer them to performance index calculation.
You can assign a type to the required parameters. In order for the system to choose the correct values for a specific parameter, you must enter the structure and the field name of the table that contains the relevant values.
Example
- Performance Index:
If you want the system to calculate a weighted average only for the modules and miscellaneous academic work objects of a student that belong to a specific disicipline, you can use a parameter to specify the discipline.
- Subrequirement:
Your university requires students in the Physics program to take five credits from the Science discipline.
To find out which of the student's academic work objects meet this subrequirement, you filter them by discipline. If you want to create a reusable filter, you have to assign a DISZIP parameter to the filter.
You define the parameter values when you define the subrequirements.
If you want the system to offer input help when you define the subrequirements, you must assign a type to the DISZIP parameter by entering the structure and field name. In this example, you would enter infotype HRT1744 as the structure and DISZIP as the field name.
