Use

This indicator determines if the rule module represents a basic check or an extended check.

  • If you do not set this indicator, the rule module represents a basic check.

    Basic checks may not return error messages or the message type of any messages the system outputs must be W, I, or S, or the system will not allow you to make a module booking.

  • If you set this indicator, the rule module represents an extended check.

    If an extended rule check returns an error message and the Conditional Booking Allowed (for Rule Checks) option is set for relationship 509 (is used by/uses) linking the rule container and an object of the academic structure, the system will still allow you to make a module booking. However, the module booking and the results of the module booking (with relationship 506 - completes/is completed by) is conditional.
