Definition
Four-digit numeric key that defines the item category of an application.
Use
There are three application item categories: archiving object, infotype, and process.
The application item category archiving object is used to archive application documents (e.g. transcripts that have been scanned into the system).
The application item category infotype is used to link an application with student master data (e.g. the infotype Address (1028)).
