Definition

Defines whether or not and how grades should be assigned.

Use

The system offers the following grade assignment categories:

• Grade assignment

  In this case, student work is evaluated by means of a grade.
  If you define that a module booking be evaluated by means of a grade, the system proposes a grade evaluation scale when you create an appraisal.

• Passed/Failed

  In this case, student work is evaluated as "passed or failed".

  If you define that a module booking be evaluated as "passed or failed", the system proposes a scale on which "passes" and "failures" are rated when you create an appraisal.

• No grade assignment

  In this case, student work is not evaluated by means of a grade nor as "passed or failed".
