Definition
This field contains a one-digit code that represents a status.
All objects and all infotypes have a status.
Statuses allow you to move objects and infotypes through a planning cycle.
The planning cycle is as follows:
planned/2 --> submitted/3 --> approved/4 or rejected/5 -->
active/1 (if approved) or planned/2 (if rejected).
It is not mandatory to use the planning cycle. You can create objects with the status active.
You can also reset the status of an object from active to planned.
However, if you create objects or infotypes with the status planned, you are then committed to moving the object through the remaining statuses in the cycle.
Use
In this field, enter the status you want to assign to the objects and infotypes you create.
You can do this by entering the appropriate one-digit code or by displaying the list of possible statuses and making a selection.
