Definition
Specifies the start date of the period in which an external academic achievement (external academic work or qualification) can be completed.
Use
Dependencies
You maintain the external academic achievements of students on the Ext. Achievements tab page in student master data. When you run equivalency determination, the system checks if the following dates of the external achievements are within the period during which this work was completed (completion period):
- External qualifications (object type EQ)
When you maintain an external qualification on the Degree/Qual. tab page, you must enter the (anticipated) completion date in the Date field.
The completion date must be within the completion period for it to be acknowledged.
- External subjects (object type SU)
When you maintain external subjects on the Subjects Taken tab page, you can enter the following time data:
- Withdrawal
- Session and year (or only the year)
- Start date
- End date
The system acknowledges an external subject as external academic work only if the following applies:
- If you enter a date for the external subject, this date must be within the completion period.
- If you enter a time period for the external subject, this period has to only partially overlap the completion period.
