Use

Functions are used in the following applications:

• Qualification conferment in the student file
• Assessment in academic records

Each function is assigned activities, such as confer qualification or conduct exam. The function and activity combination is then assigned the allowed object types, such as person or organization. These assignments enable you to define a specific object (of the allowed object type) for each function.

Example

The function "committee chairperson" is assigned the object types person and external person via the confer qualification activity. You can therefore assign a specific person to this function.
