Definition

Specifies the student's social security number.

Use

You only have to enter a social security number in the case of dependent veteran students. In this case, the social security number of their veteran parent or spouse is entered in the Veteran Number field, so their own social security number has to be entered here.

In the case of non-dependent veterans, you do not have to enter a social security number here because you have already entered it as their Veteran Number.
