Examples
- R means UCAS deems the institution rejects this applicant by default when the institution has not made a decision by the deadline,
- D means UCAS deems the applicant declines this institution by default when the applicant has not made a reply by the deadline.
- X means UCAS assumes the deadline when the applicant does not reply to this choice.
- U means UCAS uprates it. This choice ( now firm) was the insurance - the previous firm reply is now reject or decline (typically becasue of an RD transaction from another institution).
- blank means UCAS does not make any unusual actions.
