Definition
Defines the attributes which the system can determine from a Campus Management object (student, organizational unit, program, etc.) and the required additional information (academic year and session, etc.).
The Campus Management data and the additional information are the import parameters of the derivation path; the attributes are its export parameters.
Use
When the system determines data via a derivation path, it can access all infotypes and additional info structures assigned to the Campus Management object. This includes infotypes which are accessed from this object via an evaluation path. The additional info structures, for example, provide student account data.
When you save the derivation path, the system generates the interface of the assigned function module. This interface consists of the derivation path import parameters, and the table parameters for all infotypes and additional info structures assigned to the derivation path.
