Documentation
Indicates the type of trust for which the contributions are made.
Definition
There are three basic trusts or bodies where contributions towards provident fund are deposited:
- Regional provident fund commissioner (RPFC)
Implies that all the PF and pension contributions will be maintained by the relevant RPFC office.
- Exempted Trust
Maintains the PF contributions but the company maintains the pension accounts with the relevant RPFC office.
- Excluded Trust
Maintains all contributions from employee and employer as Provident fund and nothing is maintained as pension.
