Definition
Indicates the method used to calculate dearness allowance.
There are two calculation methods currently used by SAP.
In the first method, the fixed value for Dearness Allowance (DA) is paid along with a percentage of the employee's basic salary.
The second method uses the index code to calculate difference in CPI and uses the employer specified Rupees per point index to calculate the additional DA payable and is paid along with the fixed DA amount.
