Definition
In order to link two periods of absence, the period between the two absences must be less than or equal to the link period specified here.
Examples
An employee goes on leave for 2 months, comes back to the office for 20 days, and then goes on leave again for 3 months.
If the link period is 20 days, then the two absences are linked together, resulting in an single absence period of 5 months and 20 days.
