A time period used to split an extended absence into two seperate absence period.
Examples
An employee goes on extended leave from Jan 1 to May 31. If the split period is 3 months, then the leave is split into the following 2 absence period:
- Jan 1 to Mar 31 (3 months)
- Apr 1 to May 31
