Definition
A fixed amount from the employee's salary which the employee wishes to contribute to his or her retirement scheme. This amount is deducted from the employee's salary.
If this fixed amount is higher than the mandatory contribution, then the following two entries are recorded in the payroll results:
- the mandatory contribution for the Contribution Plan according to the employee's age, years-of-service and income threshold.
- an optional contribution consisting of the difference between the fixed amount and the mandatory contribution.
If this fixed amount is lower than the mandatory contribution, the mandatory contribution is used instead.
