Definition
The one-tenth increase is used to determine the garnishable amount. When calculating the garnishable amount, a tenth of the garnishment base is left garnishment-free for the debtor. The number of the tenth is determined by law. In exceptional cases, the legal tenth can be increased by an additional tenth. This additional tenth is pre-defined by the one-tenth increase.
