Documentation
Definition
Specifies the marital status of taxpayer for tax purposes.
Use
A taxpayer's reduction for family minimum is determined according to his or her marital status.
In the F4 help of this field you are given three options in line with the tax office:
- Other family situations: the family situation of the payee does not correspond neither to the W/ spouse in care concept nor with the Single parent concept or the person did not wish to express it to the withholding person or entity.
- W/ spouse in care: the payee is married or is not legally separated and his/her spouse does not receive an annual income higher than the amount established in the tax law.
- Single parent: the payee is single, widowed, divorced or legally separated and has children under 18 or incapacitated adults under extended or reinstated parental authority, who live exclusively with the payee, as long as the payee has at least one child or descendent with entitlement to the application of the family minimum referred to by the corresponding article of the tax law.
