Definition
Since the employment tax calculation should take into account both ancestors and descendants and in both cases it should be possible to differentiate between different situations when it comes to fixing the family minimum application factor, here you can choose the option that best suits the record you are creating.
Example
Ancestors:
When two or more contributors live with the same ancestor, thus being entitled to the application of the corresponding family minimums, the amount is apportioned equally among them.
To do so, you can enter the application factor that corresponds to the ancestor in question in this field. The information is the same as that in the 'Living With' field in the Deductions Calculation program provided by the tax administration (20/10/2000 version). The possible values are:
- Blank: The family member is not relevant for calculating the type of deduction
- 'X': Determine by default (see below)
- '1': Apply the total family minimum
- '2': Apply half the family minimum
- '3': Apply a third of the family minimum
- '4': Apply a quarter of the family minimum, etc.
Descendants:
Since descendants cannot be 'shared' between anyone other than their own progenitors, the only values possible in this case are:
- 'X' (determine by default)
- '1' (total minimum)
- '2' (half of the minimum)
Default behavior
For the system to determine the application factor by default, you can choose the 'X' option as follows:
- ancestors: 'X' is equal to the value '1' (application of total minimum)
- descendants: The application factor of the family minimum is derived from the employee's personal situation in the 'Fiscal Data' infotype (0062):
- single parent => 1 (total minimum)
- rest => 2 (half of minimum).
Procedure
Select the corresponding option.
