Definition
In this field, you enter the reason for reduction 1 (Numerator 1/Denominator 1). For the surviving dependent's pension, the reduction reason affects the sequence of the calculation (see table display).
Use
In this field you enter a reason for the numerator/denominator reduction.
Possible reasons:
- Disciplinary measure
- Withdrawal of pension according to §62, Para. 3, Public Sector Pensions Act
- Reduction according to §56, Public Sector Pensions Act, intergovernmental usage
- Age difference (§20, Para. 2, Public Sector Pensions Act)
- Maintenance payment
- Other reductions
With surviving dependent#s pension, the reason selected and the checkbox Special Treatment of Minimum Pension have a combined effect on the time of the reduction. This relationship is illustrated in the following table.

For the surviving dependent's pension, the reason for reduction 1 specifies at what point reduction 1 is applied in the calculation. If you enter the reason Maintenance Amount, the "Maintenance Payment" field is also evaluated to determine when the reduction is to be applied.
