Remuneration points with which a pension or part of a pension to be imputed can be calculated through multiplication with the current pension value (West).

Example

A widow is entitled to a reinstated widow's pension. She already receives payments for separate statutory pension insurance. From her previous marriage, she is entitled to future pension payments as part of the pension equalization payment, which amounts to 2 remuneration points. Her previous pension is thus increased accordingly. The reinstated widow's pension includes only the pension part based on the pension equalization payment.
