Definition
Specifies the wage type that stores the base amount for calculating the employer contribution during the payroll run.
Use
Depending on the base amount that you want to use, you can specify a wage type as follows:
- If you want to use the same fixed base amount for each contribution period, you can specify a wage type that you define in the Recurring Payments and Deductions (0014) infotype.
- If you want to use a fixed base amount for a certain payroll period, you can specify a wage type that you define in the Additional Payments and Deductions (0015) infotype.
- If you want to use a base amount that the system calculates during the payroll run, you can specify a wage type that contains the required base amount.
For example, if you want to define the average salary in the prevous year as the contribution basis, you can specify the /316 (Last year average salary for pension insurance) wage type.
The system uses this wage type to calculate the contribution amount as follows:
contribution base x contribution rate + constant
The system stores the result in the wage type for calculated employer contribution. You specify this wage type in the Customizing activity Assign Wage Types for Supplementary Insurance.
