Definition
Specifies the accumulation period for the entitled medical treatment period.
Use
Based on legal requirements, an employee's medical treatment period must be accumulated in a certain period.
You specify the accumulation period for each period of medical treatment to which employees are entitled. When you enter an absence record for an employee in the Absences (2001) infotype, the system checks whether the number of months' sick leave that the employee takes in the accumulation period exceeds the medical treatment period to which the employee is entitled.
The system sets the end date of the accumulation period to the end date of the current absence record, and therefore the start date of the accumulation period is a certain number of months before the end date of the current absence record.
Example
Assume local regulations stipulate that for employees who have worked in your company for less than 5 years, they are entitled to 1 month's sick leave in an accumulation period of three months. If an employee takes sick leave from March 21 to 31, 2009, the accumulation period for the medical treatment period check is from January 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009.
