Definition

This field contains the date on which the garnishment document is entered into the system. This date does not correspond to the date that the garnishment legally takes effect.

Procedure

In this field, enter the date on which you received the garnishment document.

Standard settings

As delivered, the standard system uses the current date as the default date for this field.

If an employee is subject to multiple garnishments of equal priority, then the date in this field will partially determine the order in which garnishments are processed. Under certain circumstances, the garnishment with the earliest date in this field will be processed first.
