Definition

Use

You can use this function to change an existing absence if no illness notification is available. In this case, the absence type in the Absences infotype (2001) is converted in such a way that no incapacity to work exists anymore.

This function is available for a specific period, provided the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • Infotype 2001 contains an absence.
  • The absence type in infotype 2011 requires an illness notification.
  • The Illness Reporting from EDLA A infotype (3248) does not contain an illness notification.

Dependencies

The system automatically selects an appropriate new absence type for the existing record in infotype 2001. The new absence type depends on only the absence type specified to date in infotype 2001.You can make the relevant assignment in Customizing for Define Absence Types for Conversion in Event of Missing Illness Notification under Payroll Austria -> ELDA Sick Leave Certificates -> Comparison.

Example

  • Employee reported that they were ill even though they were on leave
    You have entered an absence with the absence type Illness for a given employee. However, no illness notification is available in infotype 3248. You want to change the absence type Illness in infotype 2001 to the absence type Leave.
