Definition
Align the absence with the reason in the illness notification
Use
You can use this function to align an existing absence with an illness notification. The absence type in infotype 2001 is aligned with the reason for the incapacity to work specified in the illness notification.
This function is available for a specific period, provided the following conditions are fulfilled:
- The Absences infotype (2001) contains an absence.
- The Illness Reporting from EDLA A infotype (3248) contains an illness notification.
- The absence type in infotype 2001 does not match the reason for the incapacity to work in infotype 3248.
Dependencies
The system automatically selects an appropriate new absence type for the existing record in infotype 2001. The new absence type depends on both the reason for the incapacity to work specified in infotype 3248 and the absence type specified to date in infotype 2001. Example
- Employee fell ill while on leave
You have entered an absence with the absence type Leave for a given employee. Infotype 3248 also contains an illness notification. You want to change the absence type Leave in infotype 2001 to the absence type Illness. - An illness was a work accident
You have entered an absence with the absence type Illness for a given employee. However, in infotype 3248, the reason specified for the incapacity to work is Work Accident. You want to change the absence type Illness in infotype 2001 to the absence type Work Accident.
