Definition

Specifies the number of units the employee gets for every year that he has worked. If the LOS is captured in completed months or completed quarters, the number of units is pro-rated. The unit is captured as specified in the Time unit/measurement field.

Procedure

Examples

An employee has worked full-time for 10 years and 5 months. The Option for calculating LOS is up to completed quarter, the Unit/year is 2.00, the Time unit is 011 for weeks.

So, the LOS is counted as 10 years and 1 quarter, that means 10.25 years. With this calculation, the employee gets 10.25 * 2.00 units = 20.50 units of his weekly salary as severance payment.
