Definition

Provides an additional option to the Based on LOS from public service commence date option.

Use

If you do not want the system to calculate LOS based on public service commence date, but on a fixed date in the past, then you can customize this option and maintain a date type in Date Specifications infotype (0041), for example 01 (Technical entry date).

Example

If you want an exception for an employee so that his LOS is not based on his public service commence date, due to whatever reasons, but based on a date in the past that is agreed with him, then you can use this option in conjunction with the flexible key that is set up in feature Flexible accrual/entitlement transfer rules (13TRF).
