Definition
The notional salary should be entered as an annual amount in whole dollars, calculated as follows:
Hourly rate x full time equivalent hours x 313 / 12.
The notional salary is used for casuals, per diem employees, that means on a fixed daily rate refer to ComSuper for the formula to calculate as it differs greatly from casuals), and PIP (Partial Invalidity Pension) for the purpose of calculating EPSC (Employer Superannuation Productivity Contribution). ComSuper use it to calculate the employee's final benefits on cessation from the Commonwealth Public Service.
