Documentation
Definition
Defines that the determination of a transfer frequency is based on the length of service (LOS) and in consideration of the threshold.
Use
By selecting the field, system calculates your length of service with consideration of LWOP and unauthorized leave impact on LOS. It depends on the setting in table PS Specific Characteristic for absence type (T5QPBS2J) and, in case of prior service, on infotype Prior Service (0508) whether LWOP and unauthorized leave count as service.
In addition, system provides also flexibility to exclude the prior service, but the system defaults include prior service.
The difference between the Based on LOS from public service commence date and this option is as follows:
- LWOP and unauthorized leave thresholds are checked against the table LWOP/UNAL impact on individual leave type (T5QPBS2F) for the current service and table Parameter setting for Prior Service and Leave Management (T5QPBS2A) for prior service, where as in the above mentioned option the threshold is not checked, but all the LWOP and unauthorized leave is deferred.
- Transfer is based on one day after the end of the accrual period, where as in the above mentioned option it is possible to transfer or not to transfer the accrual one day after the end of the accrual period.
Procedure
Examples
Transfer shall take place firstly on the 10th year, then on the 12th year, and after this every year. Then you can set the transfer frequency rules in table Accrual transfer frequency rules (T5QPBS2G) by using the transfer frequency like 10, 2, and 1 with time unit 013 for years. This is a typical scenario for long service leave.
