Documentation
Definition
Specifies the maximum class of the APS classification structure that an employee is paid at most according to his or her pay scale structure.
Use
The Public Service Merit Protection Commission (PSMPC) provides the APS classification structure, which is valid for every employee in the Australian Public Sector. Pay scale type, pay scale area, and pay scale group, however, are company specific, so they are assigned to the APS classification structure by specifying the minimum and maximum class for the according pay scale structure.
