This field is intended for exceptional cases.

Use

If encoding is not hardcoded in the viewer class or the implementation class, you can use this field to overwrite the default XML encoding UTF-8.

1. The value you specified overrides the encoding name in the generated XML declaration.
2. As of release SAP R/3 Enterprise, the system additionally searches a corresponding codepage via function module SCP_CODEPAGE_BY_EXTERNAL_NAME. The retrieved codepage is used as target codepage for the XML file download.
