Definition
This field is filled during the FORM XDEC_EXTRA_FIELDS_NATIO that may or may not be part of your payroll solution. This is left to the implementation of the country development team and is not meant to be controlled by the customer.
Nominally, it should be used as a switch, but as a one character field, it can be used for multiple options.
EXAMPLE
In the UK, this field is not used.
In the US, this field is used to indicate costs that are subject to "When Earned" cost distribution (i.e. Benefits), but which have been customised to be subject to international arrears processing. These costs are re-calculated in retro, but instead of the differences being processed in the retro period they are brought forward via table ARRRS to the IN period.
This arrears processing creates additonal complexity during XDEC and means that these wage types have to "tagged" as requiring this processing. These wage types are identified by the XDEC Wage Type Grouping "AA" which will need to be defined in table T7PBSDEC_WTGRP. If a specific cost wage type is identified as in Wage Type Grouping "AA" then this field is set to 'A'.
