Documentation
The Execution Office determines the type of order in the payment block statement.
The variable amount rule stipulates that the withholding of garnishments during a payroll run is applied. This indicates that either nothing, 1/3 or 3/4 of the total garnishable net is withheld.
Garnishment withholding = 0:
If the total garnishable net is lower than or equals the protected amount, the protected amount is determined by the Execution Office.
Garnsihment withholding = 1/3 of the total garnishable net:
If the total garnishable net is greater than the income limit, the income limit is calculated on the basis of the protected amount multiplied by a factor stipulated by the Execution Office.
Garnishment withholding = 3/4 of the total garnishable net:
If the garnishable net is lower than or equals the income limit and the income limit is greater than the protected amount.
