Definition

Shows the number of characters that the corresponding piece of data is located from the left of the text file that you upload.

Use

The report that uploads text files containing working conditions to the system uses the number of characters from the left margin to read the data in the file and assign the data to the correct fields in Organizational Management.

Dependencies

Example

You compile a text file for data about hazardous working conditions. The file comprises five columns containing the following data: law, code, text, and description.

You enter the number of the law to the far left of the text file, that is, one character from the left of the file. To enable the system to read the data about the law, enter 1 in the Position for 'Law' field.

The next column, which begins 15 characters from the left of the file, contains the code. To enable the system to read the code, enter 15 in the Position for 'Code' field.
