Definition

Determines if the report calculates data for fields that contain data on a rolling-quarter basis (for the first quarter, for the first six months in a year, and so on).

The following fields in the form contain data related to whole quarters:

• Columns 5, 6, and 11 in part one
• All of part two
• All of part three

Use

You use the calculation options to determine which data the report calculates and enters in the quarterly fields on the form.

Since the authorities only require quarterly data at the end of a given quarter, the following options enable you to change the data that the report enters in quarterly fields.

• Calculate for Whole Period
  To fill quarterly fields with data correct to the date when you run the report, select this option.
  For example, if you run the report at the end of August, the quarterly fields contain data correct to the end of August.
• Calculate until End of Last Quarter
  To fill quarterly fields with data correct to the end of the last quarter, select this option.
  For example, if you run the report at the end of August, the quarterly fields contain data correct to the end of June.
• Clear Values
  If you run the report in the middle of a quarter and want to omit data in the quarterly fields, thereby reducing the amount of data that the report calculates and enters in the form, select this option.
  For example, if you run the report at the end of August, the report leaves the quarterly fields blank.
  Note: You can only use this option if you run the report in a month other than March, June, September, or December.
