Documentation
Definition
Shows the group that you use to process deductions in the same way.
Use
You use the deduction group to distinguish between different types of deductions. For example, you can assign a different priority or maximum amount of an employee's monthly salary that you can deduct each month to a given deduction group.
Dependencies
In some business situations, you need to process multiple garnishment documents that are based on the same executive document, that is, the ExDoc.No. (Executive Document Number) field for the records in the Garnishment Documents (0296) infotype contain the same number. You must ensure that the system can process the priority of the deduction wage types that the system generates for records with the same executive document number in the Garnishment Documents (0296) infotype by ensuring that one of the following conditions is met:
- The deduction wage types are assigned to the same deduction group
- If the deduction wage types are not assigned to the same deduction group the wage type with the higher priority (as per the priority in the Garnishment Documents (0296) infotype) must be stored in a deduction group with a higher priority, too
