The level of a bonus increases with an employee's seniority. You can use this field to show the number of years' seniority, after which the amount in the scale value field applies.

Variable Value of Scale    Scale Value

In the above example, an employee with at least 5 years' seniority is entitled to a 25% increase on the base amount for bonus calculation.
