Documentation
Definition
Shows the date that the system uses to determine the evaluation period for calculating an employee's average pay for absence payments. The system calculates an employee's average pay in the period before the date that you enter in this field.
Use
According to Russian legislation, the evaluation period that the system uses to calculate an employee's average pay does not always lie immediately before the current absence for which you need to calculate an employee's average pay.
To calculate an employee's average pay in a specific evaluation period, you enter a date in this field. The system calculates the average pay in the period before the date that you enter in this field.
Dependencies
If you enter a date in this field, you cannot enter a date in the Abs. Link - Average (Absence Link for Average) field. If you enter a date in this field, the system reads the Customizing data that applies on the start date of the current absence record in the Absences (2001) infotype, even though the evaluation period for the average pay calculation is based on a period in the past.
For more information about the period in which the system calculates an employee's average pay, see Customizing for Payroll Russia under Absences -> Absence Processing -> Perform Relevance Test for Payroll Averages.
Example
Assume that one of your employees takes maternity leave from October 1 to February 15. On February 16, the employee is sick and receives a sickness certificate from her doctor for two weeks.
According to Russian legislation, the system must calculate the employee's average pay for the 2-week absence based on the 12-month period that preceded the employee's maternity leave.
To enable the system to calculate the average pay based on the 12-month period before the employee's maternity leave, you enter the first day of the employee's maternity leave (October 1) in this field.
