Definition
This date refers to the last submission of Form IR8A (Original) to the authorities. This is the payroll run date of the last payroll cluster records that have been accounted for in the latest submission of IR8A.
For example, you last submitted the IR8A for the tax year 2001 on 15th March 2002. The last payroll record accounted in this submission has the payroll run date 25th February 2002.
You now want to generate IR8A for the tax year 2002, on 15th March 2003. In this case, specify the cut-off date as 25th February 2002.
When executed the report will generate the following:
- Form IR8A (Original) for tax year 2002
- Form IR8A (Additional) for tax years 2001 and earlier, if there are additional earnings for those years, triggered after the cut-off date, which is 25th February 2002.
Note
You need to enter the Cut-off date only when you generate the report for the first time. For subsequent submissions the report will take the cut-off date stored in the cluster.
For example, you have generated the report on 15th March 2003, and have entered the cut-off date as 25th february 2002.
While generating the tax forms for the tax year 2002, the report will automatically update the IR8A cluster table with a new cut-off date, which is 25th February 2003 (the latest payroll run date accounted for this submission).
You can view cut-off dates stored in the IR8A cluster, for a particualr year by selecting the Reprint option.
