Documentation
Definition
In the case where special calculations are necessary to determine salary component amounts, a function module must be used.
Procedure
When there is a standard calculation method for a salary component, SAP has created a function module for you to use. It is also recommend that you use the function module provided, when applilcable.
When applicable, your organization must create company specific function modules if a salary component can not be represented by an amount and no function module has been created by SAP.
Examples
As there are clear statutory guidelines as to how all companies in South Africa must calculate Medical Aid, SAP has created the function module HR_SPA_CALC_MAZA. You must use this function module for the Salary Component Medical Aid.
