Documentation
Definition
Account numbers ranges prescribe valid account number lengths and characteristics. The upper limit refers to the highest valid account number for the bank in question. It also acts as a place holder indicating the length of the upper range account number.
Example
In the account number range 1000000000 - 1999999999, the 1999999999 indicates the upper limit range. A valid account number can not be greater than 10 digit long. The number range above also specifies that valid account numbers must begin with a 1.
Note
Account numbers must fall within the above range to be considered valid accounts. For additional information, reference 'Account number characteristics' in the ACB User Manual.
