Definition

Family allowance is paid to:

  • employees;
  • partners of companies and institutions (usually cooperatives), under specific conditions;
  • trainees;
  • workers at home;
  • foreign nationality workers;
  • part-time workers (in this case the allowance is paid by the employer where their main activity is performed; family allowance may be paid by the employer where their secondary activity is performed only if a specific request is submitted to the employers).
