Definition
There are rules stipulating that previous sicknesses must be taken into account for calculating continued pay and sick pay supplements, if these sicknesses are related and fall within a certain period of time.
French version:
Please indicate sickness records which are logically related in this field.
Use
The employee's health insurance fund can usually advise you which previous sicknesses are taken into account.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
- Entries in this field are only taken into account if the Days credited field is not filled.
- In the Maintain Time Data transaction, you can choose Edit -> Incapacity to work for an overview of the employee's previous sicknesses.

Only relevant for Belgian payroll:
The Belgian absence calendar (Personal Calendar Generation (RPTGENB0) report) uses this field, in combination with the settings defined in Customizing activity Manage Neighborhood of Absences, to generate neighboring absences.
You use this field to indicate absences of the same absence type that are not logically related. For example, an employee returns to work after an illness, but is sick again within 14 days of the first illness. In some cases, this would simply be a continuation of the first illness period. However, based on details in the medical certificate, you know the illnesses are not related. You use this field to logically separate the absences.
Further notes
In the payroll for Italy this field is used for the identification of the INPS compensation percentage for the correct use of the table to split absences in time intervals.
Moreover, the valuation basis of the original event should be recovered as in case of subsequent sickness in different months, the valuation basis, i.e. the pay, should be the same as the one of the first event independently from a possible value base change which is due, for example, to a base pay change.
