Definition

This field is the numerator of the working time fraction (in hours).

Examples of Working time fraction:
full time : 38/38 ; 40/40 ; 38,5/38,5 ...
part time : 19/38 ; 16/40 ; 28,5/40 ...

The working time fraction is on the screen for informative reasons.

This means that the seniority calculation tool (RPUSEN12) does NOT take into account this fraction when calculating the pay and/or administrative seniorities . The program uses the values entered in the seniority fields (years and/or months) as such.

Therefore, e.g. in the case of a part time contract for an employee working in the old statute, the actual value of the seniority the employee obtained, should be entered. This is also true for former employment in an educational institution, where special rules apply to calculate the seniority.

If no years and no months are entered, the system assumes that no seniority was obtained. In other words, the system does not calculate the period between start and end date of the infotype record to add this to the obtained seniority.

(see also F1 for seniority fields)
