Documentation
Definition
Specifies the legal code required by the Belgian authorities for Social Balance Declaration reporting.
This code corresponds to a specific line or field in a Social Balance Declaration. The legal codes are determined by the Belgian authorities and cannot be changed.
Use
You use this value to link declaration data in the system with a specific data requirement in a Social Balance Declaration.
The tax authority has assigned each row in a declaration a numeric code that is used to uniquely report statistics for an information type. For example, code 100 is used to report the average number of employees for the current and previous reporting period.
In addition, SAP has assigned a letter to each legal code to further differentiate data by column (as required by the authorities). The letter used varies according to the declaration requirement: in some cases, the letter differentiates data according to the nature of employment (full-time, part-time, full-time equivalent), in other cases the letter differentiates data by gender (male, female). The combination of legal code and letter results in a unique code that relates to a specific row and column in the declaration.
Dependencies
For more information about linking legal and SAP Social Balance codes, see Customizing for Maintain SAP to Legal Declaration Codes Mapping.
Example
For example, code 100 is used to report the average number of employees for the current and previous reporting period. Code 100 is also assigned a letter (A, B, C or D) to differentiate data further, as follows:
- 100A average number of full-time employees
- 100B average number of part-time employees
- 100C average number of full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- 100D average number of full-time equivalent (FTE) employees for the previous reporting period
