Internal absence codes enable the system to handle absences correctly.

Use

The user defined absence categories should be mapped to the appropriate internal absence code, this enables the system to handle the absences correctly.

Example

Z is assigned to ILL - which is the internal absence code for work accident.
M is assigned to MAT- which is the internal absence code for maternaty leave.
This enables the system to react correctly on the situation: illness - maternaty leave - illness.
