Definition
Indicates the begin date of the contract to be reported, as specified in the Contract Elements (0016) infotype.
Use
This field is mandatory and must be in the format YYYY-MM-DD, where YYYY is the year, MM the month, and DD the day.
If the contract has not been subject to changes, the begin date corresponds to the employee's hiring date. However, if the employee has for example switched over from a full-time to a part-time workschedule, the begin date corresponds to the first day the change comes into effect. If a contract has been terminated and the employee is paid a dismissal allowance, you must report the various periods covered by a dismissal allowance by means of a new contract per period. In this case, the begin date corresponds to the first day of the period.
