Definition
Indicates the number of working days that exceed the limit for student employees; this limit is defined by the Belgian authorities.
Procedure
As of January 01, 2012, the calendar year is the reference period for social insurance contributions for student employees. Within this reference period, a student employee can work a maximum of 50 days without making social insurance (SI) contributions. If the maximum is exceeded, then the student employee is required to make SI contributions.
