Documentation
Definition
Indicates that indexation is applied on the basis of a monthly social welfare allowance amount.
Social welfare allowances (for example, illness, or unemployment allowances) are indexed to compensate for cost-of-living changes.
Use
You select this radio button to index an employee's social welfare allowances on a monthly basis; this adjusts an employee's monthly allowance amount by a specified adjustment percentage.
If indexation on a monthly allowance basis is selected, then the adjustment percentage is applied directly to the employee's theoretical monthly amount.
Note: Indexation using a monthly allowance basis is mandatory in some cases, for example, career interruption.
Dependencies
The system applies indexation using the CI Payments - Social Welfare Benefit Adjustments (RPUCIDB0) report.
An employee's social welfare benefit amount is defined in the Indemnity Definition (BE) (3270) infotype.
Example
Consider a monthly theoretical amount of 1,394.64 EUR with positive indexation of 2% applied on a monthly basis. The calculation for indexation using a monthly allowance basis is outlined, as follows:
- 1,394.64 EUR * 1.02 = 1,422.53 EUR
Compare this example with indexation applied on a daily allowance basis (for example, this applies to unemployment allowances). The calculations for indexation on a daily allowance basis are outlined, as follows:
- Monthly theoretical amount = 1,394.64 EUR
- Positive indexation of 2% applied on a daily allowance basis
- ( 1,394.64 EUR / 26 ) * 1.02 = 54.71 EUR
- 54.71 EUR * 26 = 1,422.46 EUR
