Documentation
Definition
Specifies the payment type for the complementary indemnity (CI) payment.
CI payments are commonly paid monthly and extend over the period of the system of unemployment (SUC/ SUIC) period. However, payments can also be made, as follows:
- In advance, either via a single or multiple advance payment(s)
- Not in advance, but using payment frequencies other than monthly, or where the payments only partially cover the indemnity period
The capitalization payment type has implications for declarations and for reporting.
Use
You use this field to specify the payment type for the complementary indemnity payment, which can be one of the following:
- No capitalization (monthly payment)
This payment type is used for monthly indemnity payments that extend over the period of the SUC/ SUIC period. - Full capitalization (declared once)
This payment type is declared in advance and is based upon a single payment. - Partial capitalization (declared in parts)
This payment type is used for the following cases: - Payments are made in advance via multiple payments.
- Payments are not made monthly, for example, paid quarterly or annually
- Payments do not extend over the entire period of the SUC/ SUIC
If the indemnity payment is fully or partially capitalized, you must specify other capitalization details such as the reference capitalization period and number of payments. In addition, the system calculates theoretical monthly values that are used for reporting purposes.
Dependencies
